About us
Two decades of growing, one family
Wild Geese Gardens is a working greenhouse in Kalispell, run by the same family that started it two decades ago. Here's who we are, how we grow, and why we'd rather help you than sell you.
Our family
Wild Geese Gardens began with Mick Morin, a Montana native who never quite got the dirt out from under his fingernails — and didn't want to. He started the greenhouse more than twenty years ago on a simple belief: grow good plants, learn them inside and out, and help the people of this valley grow well too.
These days you'll find his son Kevin working right alongside him. We still grow most of what we sell, still know our plants by name, and still have time to talk you through yours.
How we work
We're a working greenhouse, not a big-box garden center. That difference shows up in small ways that matter: the geraniums on our benches were started here, not trucked in green and gassed to color. We can tell you how a plant behaves through a Flathead summer because we've watched it do exactly that, season after season.
It also means we'd rather help you pick the right plant than sell you three of the wrong ones. Ask us anything — the worst that happens is you learn something and we get to talk about plants, which is most of why we do this.
Good plants, grown close to home, by people who know them. Honest advice over a quick sale. Twenty years in, that's still the whole idea.
