Deep, velvety dark-red blooms on a vigorous plant that laughs off heat and wind.

Calliope Dark Red is about as tough and showy as a geranium gets. The interspecific breeding gives it the best of both worlds — the big flower heads of a zonal with the vigor and weather resistance of an ivy. The color is a rich, almost burgundy red that holds up in full Flathead sun without fading. It blooms hard from late May until frost with very little fuss, in beds, pots, or baskets. Give it sun, water when the top inch dries, and pinch off spent heads to keep it going.
