Dark Eyes is the one for people who love a deep, saturated color. Bright red sepals open over a tightly ruffled, violet-blue double corolla that holds its jewel tone well into summer. It's semi-trailing, so it fills a hanging basket or a tall pot and spills just enough at the edges. Like most fuchsias it wants steady moisture and shelter from hot afternoon sun — a shaded porch is perfect. Deadhead the spent blooms and it keeps producing those rich flowers until frost.
