Swingtime is the fuchsia people picture when they picture fuchsias: bright red sepals swept back over a full, ruffled white corolla, hanging like little ballgowns all over the plant. It's a vigorous trailer, so it earns its keep in a hanging basket on a shaded porch. Fuchsias like Swingtime want consistent moisture and a break from harsh afternoon sun — let it dry out or bake and it will sulk. Keep it watered and shaded in the heat of the day and it blooms from late spring to frost, with hummingbirds stopping by all summer.
