Marinka is the fuchsia people have hung on their porches for generations, and for good reason. It's a strong, free-flowering trailer covered in rich red single blooms, and it fills a hanging basket fast. It's also a touch more tolerant of sun and warmth than many fuchsias, which makes it a forgiving choice for a spot that gets some morning light. It still wants steady moisture and a break from harsh afternoon sun here in the valley. Keep it watered and it blooms nonstop until frost, with hummingbirds along for the ride.
